Week of the altar is a period of fasting in the calendar of Royalhouse Chapel International at the beginning of every New Year where the Apostle General, Rev Sam Korankye Ankrah gathers all congregants before the altar of the Lord to seek the face of the Lord through fasting and prayer.
Over the years, it has proven to be a moment of heavenly intervention through the year and a moment of stirring where the atmosphere is prepared ahead of time to usher the church and participants of the week of the altar into the year.
This years 21 Days Of Prayer & Fasting under the theme “Let Them Have Dominion” starts from the 7th of January 2019 to 27th January 2019, 5 pm each night.
The venue for this years edition is The OIL DOME No 16 Ring Road West, Obetsebi Lamptey Circle, Accra
This years prayer and fasting at the Oil Dome promises to be one of the best looking at the trend of events and the blessings of the lord from the past. God has promised his people total Dominion in everything they do.
In one of his sermon in the 2018 edition of the week of the altar, the founder and Apostle General of Royalhouse Chapel International, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah urged Christians to be patient and wait upon the Lord for their divine miracles.
He said: “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint- Isaiah 40:31.”
Speaking at a 21 days programme dubbed “Week of the Altar”, Rev. Ankrah indicated that, “the the people of God have fasted, prayed, cried to God and have sowed; now wait.”
Advising Christians, the Apostle General mentioned that, sometimes Christians miss their miracles just because, they are too impatient, but the bible says those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength.
Therefore, he said Christians should have the spirit of patience so they could enjoy the divine miracles God has planned for them.
“We plan our lives and when things do not go as planned we start to worry, get agitated and start to take wrong decisions. You have prayed for your health, for your children, for your marriage, for your academics, for your finances; now relax and allow God to work and bring you that long awaited miracle,” Rev. Ankrah urged.
Sharing his experience, the Apostle General pointed out that, “I have to learn that when we learn to rely on God and walk in His plan for our lives; even if it is totally different from what we intended for ourselves, all things eventually fall in place at the end because He makes all things beautiful in His time.”
Making reference from the Bible “Wait patiently on the Lord; He will turn and hear your cry – Psalm 40:1”, he assured Christians to have faith and rely on God for divine miracles.
Many testimonies were captured during the 2018 year in review and it is believed that the lord will continue to do mighty and wondrous things this year 2019. It is your time and your season. Let Them Have Dominion
